Welcome to Charlie’s Alpine Bistro. Located right in the Lutsen base area below the Summit Gondola terminal!

Named for Charles Skinner Sr., a pioneering skier & visionary who brought the Midwest its first gondola and a legacy of innovation at our beloved Lutsen Mountains.

As a classic, midwestern man, he also loved good, simple food just like what our chefs craft today, using fresh, wholesome ingredients from local vendors as well as global providers.

Outdoor & Indoor Dining

Experience dining in the beautiful Sawtooth Mountains directly next to our Summit Express Gondola. Enjoy outdoor dining on our patio with views of the surrounding mountain peaks including Moose and Mystery mountains along with the gondola passing overhead! The deck provides an ambiance perfect for families or a cozy drink with your significant other.

Charlie's offers breakfast service from 7am - 11am daily and dinner service 3pm - 10pm with the bar remaining open until 11pm.

Cozy up to the bar with friends to enjoy drinks as you can watch our chefs do their magic in our open air kitchen. Our full bar features an extensive wine list along with crafted cocktails and plenty of local and regional draft options to keep you entertained.

Charlie's will also feature live music throughout the year with numerous local musicians taking the stage. Stay tuned for a full schedule to be announced within the coming weeks.
