Mountain Report - June 7th, 2026

Good morning from Lutsen Mountains! 

We are now open for daily operations! Starting this weekend, Summer operations will be open 7 days a week until mid-September. Scenic rides on the gondola, high-speed fun on the Alpine Slide, food and drinks at Charlie's and the Summit Chalet, all make for great times at Lutsen Mountains! Come on out for some Summer fun!

NOAA Weather Forecast: Mostly sunny, with a high near 66. East wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Gondola Scenic Rides (10:00AM-5:00PM): The gondola will be open and will operate as scheduled. It should be a beautiful day for taking in those Lake Superior views at the top of Moose Mountain. Come out and enjoy a ride up the Midwest's only gondola and enjoy some food or drinks at the Summit Chalet!

ALPINE SLIDE REOPENING (11:00AM-5:00PM): Following extensive troubleshooting efforts by our Lift Maintenance team, they were able to fix our electrical issue on the Bridge Lift. With this fix, we are excited to reopen the Alpine Slide (6/7). To make up for the last two days and maximize operating hours before a chance of rain in the late afternoon, we will be opening the slide an hour early at 10:00AM. We apologize to those that were unable to ride the slide the past two days while we dealt with this unexpected issue. We look forward to getting the slide back in action and up and running for the remainder of the Summer operations!
