Mountain Report - June 30th, 2026
Good morning from Lutsen Mountains!
We are forecasted for a beautiful, partly sunny day with minimal wind. Activities will operate as expected for the entire day. Take advantage by getting out for some fun on the Alpine Slide and taking in the breathtaking views on the gondola and at the Summit!
*Slight chance of delays for the Alpine Slide while we dry the track after overnight rains and expect limited views on the gondola until the fog clears out*
NOAA Weather Report: Partly sunny, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 82. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.
Gondola Scenic Rides (10:00 AM- 5:00 PM): With no thunderstorms forecasted for the day, the gondola will be back online operating. Views in the morning will be limited until the fog clears, but should be nice for the afternoon. Come out and take a ride on the only Gondola in the Midwest! Enjoy some food and drinks at the Summit Chalet while taking in those beautiful views of Lake Superior!
Alpine Slide (11:00 AM-5:00 PM): The Alpine Slide will be open today. Enjoy a ride up the Bridge Lift and a cruise down the turns and dips of the track. Slight delay may be possible as we work to dry the track after overnight rain and moisture.
Summit Chalet: Bar 10:00 am-4:30 pm & Kitchen 11 AM- 4 PM
Hours for Charlie's: Open for Dinner only, 3 pm - 10 pm
Pre-purchase Tickets Online: To make the most of your time here at Lutsen Mountains, we recommend purchasing your tickets online. When completed, you can skip the ticket line and simply scan the barcode (included in your confirmation email) at the automated pickup boxes located to the right of the ticket windows, as well as an additional one located right next to the loading area for the Alpine Slide. Your RFID cards will print right away, and you will be on your way.
