Status: Seasonal or Year-Round, Full-Time or Part-Time 

 

Age Minimum: 18 

Compensation: $12-$13 plus tips 

 

Seat Overview 

The Bartender is responsible for delivering high-quality beverage service while managing bar operations and guest engagement. This role oversees beverage production for both bar guests and service staff, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery. 

 

Bartenders play a key role in maintaining bar efficiency, supporting overall service flow, and driving revenue through strong product knowledge and guest interaction. This position also ensures compliance with alcohol service regulations while maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar environment. 

 

Seat Purpose 

Deliver high-quality beverage service and bar operations by managing beverage production, guest engagement, and bar performance while maintaining efficiency and compliance. 

 

Core Accountabilities 

  1. Beverage Production & Accuracy: Prepare and serve beverages accurately and consistently according to established recipes and standards. 
  1. Bar Guest Experience: Provide attentive and engaging service to bar guests and maintain a welcoming bar environment. 
  1. Service Bar Coordination: Prepare beverages for service staff while maintaining timing and supporting overall service flow. 
  1. Product Knowledge & Sales: Demonstrate strong beverage knowledge and promote drink selections to support revenue. 
  1. Bar Organization & Readiness: Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked bar stations throughout service. 
  1. Alcohol Compliance: Follow all alcohol service regulations and responsible service practices.

Qualifications & Competencies 

Required 

  • Strong communication and guest service skills  
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple service demands simultaneously  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment  
  • Knowledge of basic beverage preparation and bar operations (or willingness to learn)  
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak resort periods  

Preferred 

  • Previous experience in bartending or food and beverage service  
  • Familiarity with POS systems and order entry  
  • Knowledge of beverage recipes, beer, wine, and spirits  
  • Experience working in high-volume or resort environments  
  • Alcohol service certification (or ability to obtain)  

 

Physical & Environmental Requirements 

  • Ability to stand and move continuously during shifts  
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 25–30 lbs regularly  
  • Ability to work in fast-paced bar environments  
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods
