Mountain Report - August 25th, 2026

NOAA Weather Report: Showers and thunderstorms likely before 4pm, then a chance of showers after 5pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. Southeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Gondola Scenic Rides (1:00 PM - 5:00 PM): Come ride the only gondola in the Midwest and enjoy some of the best views of Lake Superior available on the North Shore! 

Alpine Slide (Closed Due to Weather) 

Summit Chalet (Accessed via the gondola): Enjoy a variety of food and drinks at the top of the mountain!  

Charlie's Alpine Bistro (3:00 PM - 10:00 PM): Charlie's will be open today. Come enjoy a nice meal with loved ones with the beautiful view of Moose Mountain. We will have live music with Pat Eliasen from 7:30-10:00PM.

Pre-purchase Tickets Online: To make the most of your visit, we recommend purchasing your tickets online before you arrive. Once your purchase is complete, scan the barcode from your confirmation email at one of the automated pickup kiosks located to the right of the ticket windows or next to the Alpine Slide loading area. Your RFID cards will print instantly, so you can skip the ticket line and get straight to the fun!
