Position Overview:
Join our Front of House team at Lutsen Mountains and be part of an exciting, fast-paced, and high-energy environment. As a Host or Hostess, you are the first and last point of contact for our guests dining at our resort restaurants. This role set the tone for an exceptional guest experience by providing a warm welcome, managing waitlists, and supporting the overall flow of the restaurant or guest areas. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy engaging with people and thrive in fast-paced, team-oriented environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and professionally as they arrive.
- Manage restaurant waitlists and reservations using POS or booking systems.
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus or direct them to the appropriate area.
- Answer guest questions about the resort, menu items, or seasonal activities.
- Assist with crowd flow and guest satisfaction during high-traffic periods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and lobby area.
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen, and guest services teams.
- Support resort events and peak periods during holidays, weekends, and festivals.
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Prior customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Enthusiasm for outdoor recreation and guest service is a plus.
- If in a seasonal capacity whether summer or winter - must be available for the duration of the season (Winter: Mid-November – Mid April | Summer June-October).
