Position Overview:
Join our Front of House team at Lutsen Mountains and be part of an exciting, fast-paced, and high-energy environment. As a Bartender at Lutsen Mountains, you are a key player in creating memorable experiences for our guests. You’ll serve craft cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages while providing friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service. Whether it's après-ski in the winter or a summer patio gathering, you help set the tone for a lively, welcoming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately.
- Greet guests warmly, take drink and food orders, and engage with guests in a professional and personable manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Check guest IDs to ensure legal drinking age compliance.
- Credit cards and POS transactions accurately.
- Monitor guest behavior and manage alcohol service responsibly.
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
- Work closely with barbacks, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Stay knowledgeable about resort events, activities, and promotions to share with guests.
Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Previous bartending experience preferred; resort or high-volume experience is a plus.
- Current alcohol server certification (or ability to obtain).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak periods.
- Passion for hospitality and love for the outdoors is a bonus.
- If in a seasonal capacity whether summer or winter - must be available for the duration of the season (Winter: Mid-November – Mid April | Summer June-October).
