Songwriter Series - Humbird
Combining a wintry longing with the warmth of a familiar folktale, Humbird stretches between experimental folk and environmental Americana to embrace the unexpected. Revolving around Siri Undlin’s songwriting and storytelling, Humbird began as a solo moniker before evolving into an award-winning, rotating cast of musicians and collaborators that now often include woodwinds, upright bass, synthesizer, and drums.

The alt-folk music project is currently based in Minneapolis, MN, and will probably resonate with fans of Patti Smith, Sheryl Crow, and Big Thief. Humbird has already garnered over 20 million online streams and accolades from trusted tastemakers like Folk Alley, SXSW, 89.3 The Current, Kerrville Folk Fest, and more.

“Leave it to Minneapolis indie-folk strummer Siri Undlin to find beauty, peace, and hope during the tumult of 2020. 'Still Life’ her second full-length album as Humbird, was mostly written and recorded in the house where she waited out quarantine. Songs range from the yearning, Lissie-flavored rocker "Plum Sky" and the raw, George Floyd- and riots-reflecting "May" to one of the most moving COVID postscripts yet, "Pink Moon for John Prine," all rife with Undlin's soul-punchingly poetic style.” – Chris Riemenschneider, Minneapolis Star Tribune

Please Note: In an effort to create a listening room environment, we ask all guests in the main room to limit conversation during the performance.
