Sunday Apres Ski // Chris Silver
Gather at Papa Charlie's for the classic after-ski scene: good friends, tall tales of adventure and live music. It's the perfect way to end the weekend!
Chris Silver is known throughout the country as a virtuoso flatpick guitar and mandolin player. He has played at theaters, clubs, festivals, and workshops from coast to coast, Japan, and Europe. Formerly of the band Stoney Lonesome, Silver has taken acoustic folk and bluegrass to a new level that he labels as "world acoustic fusion." From 1987-1992 Chris sang and played mandolin and guitar with Stoney Lonesome, Minnesota's premier bluegrass band throughout the 80s and 90s. Chris now performs as a solo and with his own ensemble featuring Peruvian percussionist, Chico Chavez, and bassist, J. D. Shaffer. Chris has recorded 10 albums in his almost 30 years of performing live.
