Whether you're a first-time skier or boarder, or you just need to brush up on your skills - the Lutsen Mountains Snowsports Center has exactly what you need to take on the mountains with confidence, style, and skill. Our lessons are designed to make learning easy, fun, and very rewarding.

*The First Timer Package includes a trail pass for Flapjack & the Magic Carpet lift, a standard ski rental package & a place in our 9:15a group lesson. This package must be online in advance when booking the First Timers Lesson. First Timer Package is subject to availability. This package is not available for snowboarders.
LEARN TO SKI FREE!
Join us Monday-Thursdays for our Adult First Timers class through February 15th.
This 90-minute class will give you the confidence you need as you begin your ski journey.
*FREE adult first-timers class is available Monday-Thursday at 9:15 am. 8 slots are available per day and must be reserved in advance. A Lutsen Mountains lift ticket is required for to qualify for free lesson promotion.
Lesson Policies

All lesson programs must be purchased & reserved in advance for all weekend, holiday, and peak periods.
Lesson Cancellations
All lessons canceled within 5 days of the lesson date will be assessed a $10 cancellation fee. All lessons canceled within 2 days of the lesson date will be non-refundable, no exceptions. If the guest wishes to reschedule, they must do so prior to 2 days from their arrival. Lessons can only be rescheduled ONE time and will incur a $10 rescheduling fee. Once a lesson has been rescheduled, it becomes non-refundable if the guest wishes to cancel.
Class Check-In
All classes including groups and private lessons will meet at our Flapjack learning terrain for check-in, arrive on-site at least 60-90 minutes prior to your class start time, all students should be suited up and ready for their lesson 15 minutes prior to class and at our check-in location with gear and lift ticket. We will not accept any students in a class once it has begun. All students will be required to wear a face-covering, googles, and gloves at all times during the lesson.
WE ARE NOW CASHLESS
Beginning summer 2023, Midwest Family Ski Resorts Properties will no longer accept cash as a form of payment. Cash may still be used as a form of gratuity, and non-MFSR-owned vendors may still accept cash.
For guests who do not have non-cash forms of payment when they arrive at Lutsen Mountains, reverse ATMs that dispense Mastercard gift cards are available in our Scandinavian Chalet and Summit Chalet.
