Our Mountain Meltdown celebration was a huge success with 10” of snow arriving on Thursday night, boosting us back to 100% open, and two epic spring ski days on Saturday and Sunday. Clear sunny skies, temperatures around 40 degrees, live music on our outdoor festival stage and about 1,000 like-minded, hard-core skiers and snowboarders to share the experience. Of course, the hot topic of the weekend was, “Are we really going to close with so much snow on the mountain?”
After reviewing the weather forecast, we should have no problem managing our snow for another week and the skiing is just too good to pass up. So yes, we will open April 19 & 20 for one more weekend! We plan to operate the Caribou Chair and Bull Chair on Moose Mountain, the Bridge Chair on Eagle Mountain and the Mystery Mountain Chair to midway for access to the Terrain Park, giving us 30 – 40 runs on 3 mountains. The weekend forecast calls for temps in the mid 40’s, with sunny to partly cloudy skies – the perfect formula for another epic weekend.
We will continue our 2 for 1 special on lift tickets for the weekend and several lodging properties will extend 2 for 1 pricing on rooms as well – making this final ski getaway remarkably affordable. And remember, it is 215 days until the start of next season.
