 POSITION TITLE: Kitchen Manager

Job Description

Lutsen Mountains is looking for a manger for the Papa Charlie's Restaurant and Tavern. Looking for energetic, organized leader for the kitchen at Papa Charlie’s. The kitchen manager is responsible for day-to-day food operations and for the planning and execution of large group events both at Papa Charlie’s and at the Summit Chalet. Applicant must have the following skills: be able to write menus, be able to calculate COGS, be able to develop portioning and other cost-control measures, have good cooking skills, be organized, be able to work effectively with other managers, be a good mentor to younger staff, and have good leadership skills.

Position Requirements

Responsibilities include providing leadership to the kitchen personal and overseeing the daily operation which will include scheduling, ordering, inventory, prep and sanitation. The ideal candidate will set the pace and standards for the rest of the staff, have a strong work ethic, including cleanliness, efficiency, organization, and will ensure all food preparations meet restaurant specifications and commitment to quality.

Compensation

This is a permanent year round position that will offer competitive pay and a full benefit package which includes vacation, medical, and 401k.
