Kick off the ski season and the holiday season with Lutsen Mountains Thanksgiving Festival & Cook County's series of events for A North Shore Holiday. Fun-filled family activities will be scheduled throughout the weekend including turkey bowling, a Cut-Your-Own Christmas Tree workshop and of course, a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner at our area restaurants. As a special treat The New Standards are bringing their holiday show back to Papa Charlies Friday night which is becoming an annual holiday tradition. Critically acclaimed across the nation, their shows sell out the Dakota Jazz Club in Minneapolis, and the Holiday Concert packs the 1000+ seat Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul. Saturday night enjoy music from Rangers on Merlot, a supergroup put together by Al Oikari, keyboardist for the Big Wu. Lutsen's long, mountain-style runs typically offer more skiable terrain than any other Midwest ski area can provide for early season skiing. Take advantage of the North Shore Holiday package which includes half-price lodging, 1/2 price lift tickets, a $25 shopping certificate, and half-off ski rental.
