The Summit Chalet
Perfect for an evening social, happy hour, dinner, barbeque, welcome or wrap-up party and more. The large, open indoor space offers seating for up to 160 at tables, and much more for theater seating. The scenic gondola ride to the Summit Chalet, windows overlooking the northwoods and Lake Superior, expansive sundeck, large stone fireplace, and waterfall wall create an extraordinary setting for your group function. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, a buffet, or plated meal prepared by the Executive Chef of Papa Charlie’s, an open or cash bar, plenty of space for a presentation, display booths, mingling, and more.
Evening functions are available in spring, summer, and fall.
Papa Charlie’s Tavern and Stage, and The Mountain View Grill
With various options for your group, Papa Charlie’s and The Mountain View Grill can host your meeting, speaker, presentation, meal, or social. Between Papa Charlie’s Tavern and Stage boasting the area’s largest stage, screen and sound system, balcony with seating for up to 125, the Mountain View Grill’s intimate spaces, and the deck overlooking Lutsen Mountains and the Poplar River valley, your group will find just the space they need for their event.
Papa Charlie’s Executive Chef and experienced staff will wow your group with fine food and beverages whether it’s a large buffet, plated meal, hors d’oeuvres, or drinks.
Historic Scandinavian Chalet
Available for groups during non-ski seasons, this building can comfortably accommodate groups of 50 or more for meetings and breakout sessions. Catering by Papa Charlie’s is available for breakfast, beverages, lunch, hors d’oeuvres, and dinner. Utilizing this space in tandem with the Summit Chalet and Papa Charlie’s opens up many more options for your group’s events and activities.
Accommodations
Eagle Ridge Resort is Lutsen Mountains’ on-site accommodation facility, convenient to all of Lutsen Mountains venues and activities. Groups can reserve a block of units and receive a 10% discount on their reservations. Discounts on facility fees are also applied when your group reserves a minimum number of units (20 units for parties up to 75; 30 units for parties up over 75).
Eagle Ridge features a number of different unit types from fireplace and Jacuzzi studios, to one-, two-, and three-bedroom condos. All units are tastefully appointed with northwoods décor, comfortable furnishings, fireplace, Jacuzzi (most), and most have breathtaking mountain views. Other amenities include an indoor/outdoor pool, bonfire pit, and free Voyageur canoe guided tours in the summer.
Perks and Activities
Groups that take advantage of the meeting space available at Lutsen Mountains will receive discounts on ski lift tickets in the winter, and activity passes for Sawtooth Mountain Park in spring, summer, and fall (alpine slide and gondola).
Explore the Poplar River in a nine-person Voyageur canoe with a two-hour guided journey through the scenic watershed. Paddling along the Poplar River is a great way to explore the northwoods, its critters, flora, and fauna, and an unforgettable journey!
